Saturday 21st of November – Harrier League Fixture, Aykley Heads
Hi all – this Saturday sees the return of the Harrier League at Aykley Heads in Durham. It’s a great course and with the recent wild weather we’ve been having, it’s odds-on to be muddy!
Instructions from the Harrier League website – “The course is located near County Hall in Durham City. County Hall is well served by the B6532 north of the City Centre which passes the main entrance. We have permission from Durham County Council to use their facilities on site. Public transport to the site is also good with rail and bus services within walking distance.”
The postcode for the venue is DH1 5TS and as always, please car share where possible. There is ample parking on site.
As with all Harrier League fixtures, it is a 1.10pm(ish) start for the girls and 2.15pm(ish) start for the men. Don’t forget your spikes, your vest, your Harrier League number and your loudest cheering voice!
Any new members who have asked to be registered have now been entered. Jim will be there at the start to pick up new numbers from the race HQ, and will also have the old numbers for people who registered at the start of the season but are yet to run.
Just to give you a heads-up…the next XC is the following week on Saturday 28th November at Druridge Bay. A reminder will follow although you can check out the information at http://www.harrierleague.com/
And to the special person who is the current holder of the tent…please bring it along!
Happy running!
