Please find here the final results from our Harrier League competition which commenced back in October.
Competition between the men and women has been good and podium positions were finally decided on the last race of the season at Wrekenton. I’ll let you look for yourself to see who has finished in the top 3 and where everyone else fared.
Congratulations to the top 3 in the men and women’s competition, without your commitment to turning up at each event you wouldn’t be victorious, but more importantly your efforts secured valuable team points.
Regarding the clubs final position in the Harrier league. The men avoided relegation, just. So well done to the 17 men who turned out on Saturday and worked really hard to beat off Jesmond Joggers.
The women had the their best finish since the two divisions were set up, finishing in 6th place overall in division two.
Surely with the large numbers of younger athletes we now have in both the men and the women we should be aiming for promotion next year in our respective divisions. It’s about time the over 50’s handed over the baton to the under 40’s!!!!
Next cross country a team relay Sept 13th at Sunderland.
Regards
